Day 2 – Saturday, April 22:  After breakfast, we’ll depart for Norfolk, VA, home to the world’s largest Naval base. The day begins with tours by land and sea. First, we’ll visit Nauticus and the Battleship Wisconsin, museum and home to the largest and last battleship ever built by the United States Navy. Later, we’ll enjoy a narrated cruise around the Naval Base for an up-close-and-personal look at the magnificent Naval ships. The day also includes a visit to the MacArthur Memorial, a museum dedicated to preserving and presenting the story of the life of General Douglas MacArthur and we’ll enjoy special reserved seating for the Parade of Nations (performers from the Tattoo march in a parade along the streets of Norfolk). Following an early dinner (incl.), we’ll experience the “largest spectacle of Music and Might in the United States of America”.  The Virginia International Tattoo is an astounding display of inspirational military music, majestic massed pipes and drums, show-stopping drill team maneuvers, colorful and elegant dancers plus so much more! (B,D)

Day 3 – Sunday, April 23: After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll take a guided tour of Virginia Beach followed by a free afternoon to explore on our own. More than just a beach, Virginia Beach is home to a flourishing culinary scene, rich history and a variety of arts and entertainment. This evening, we’ll enjoy dinner together as a group. (B,D)

Day 4 – Monday, April 24: After breakfast, we’ll travel to the incredible Outer Banks of North Carolina. This is ‘America’s First Beach’, the site of our country’s first National Seashore and locale of the ‘Lost Colony of Roanoke’. Our first visit will be to the Wright Brother National Museum where we’ll learn how Orville and Wilbur Wright broke our bond with the earth in 1903. Later, we travel to the beachside town of Corolla. Our adventure continues on an ‘open-air safari-style’ truck along the shore to where the wild horses roam free. Experiencing these majestic animals in their natural habitat is a wonder never to be forgotten. Tonight, we’ll enjoy dinner (incl.) in the Outer Banks before returning to Virginia Beach.
