Attleboro Summer Expo

In partnership with the City of Attleboro, Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB) awarded yesterday a grant totaling $15,000 to Community Development of Attleboro during a check presentation at Attleboro City Hall.  Specifically, the gift will help fund the upcoming annual Expo for the Senses for which the Bank is the lead sponsor.  The free, family fun celebration of music, art, jewelry and food will take place on Saturday, June 25th from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in downtown Attleboro.

John Silva, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at Bristol County Savings Bank, awarded the grant to Paul Heroux, Mayor of the City of Attleboro as several Expo for the Senses team members and Bank representatives looked on.  “The Community Development of Attleboro has long been a lead agency supporting events in the community like the Expo for the Senses and, as we are a community bank, we are proud to team up to encourage business activity and reinforce the enthusiasm and interest in all things related to the city,” said Silva.

The Expo for the Senses is a collaboration between the City of Attleboro, the Attleboro Arts Museum, Attleboro Jewelers and others.  The team works together to secure artists and craftspersons, entertainers and area restaurants to celebrate the vibrancy of the city.  Entertainment will include a zipline, rock wall, bungee jumping, bouncy trampolines, face painting, caricatures, pony rides, chalk artists, sand art, a human statue and stilt walkers.
